How it works

From camera files to a Premiere timeline in four steps

You bring the footage and the master audio. DJ Multicam Editor handles the syncing and the first cut, and you finish in Premiere Pro.

  1. Step 1: Add cameras

    Add each camera's clips and the continuous master audio of your set. Cameras that split the recording into several files are fine.

  2. Step 2: Sync & edit

    Every camera is synced to the master audio using its own sound. Then a first cut is built from your camera roles and preferences.

  3. Step 3: Review

    Watch the low-resolution check preview and read the report: actual camera shares, warnings and any moments flagged for review.

  4. Step 4: Export to Premiere

    Open the editable XML in Premiere Pro. Refine the cut, add your grade and titles, and render the final video there.

The editing engine behind DJ Multicam Editor does this today. Public installers are not released yet.

  • Sync to your master audio

    Every camera is synced to one continuous master audio recording using the camera's own sound, including cameras that split the set into several clip files.

  • Master audio timing kept untouched

    The cut is laid against your master recording, which is never sped up, slowed down or cut inside the set. Only stretches at the very start or end with no camera footage are trimmed.

  • Camera roles and motion

    Mark each camera as DJ front, wide or detail, and say how it moves: fixed, smooth moving, or use settled moments only.

  • Usage share and shot length

    Set how much each camera is used (for example 50/30/20) and the average shot length. The report shows what the edit actually used.

  • Frame-by-frame technical checks

    Black frames, flashes, freezes, blur and shake are detected locally, frame by frame.

  • No black gaps

    When every angle has a problem, the most usable shot is kept and flagged for review. With no usable footage at all, it stops with a clear error instead of rendering black.

  • Editable Premiere Pro XML

    FCP7 XML with two normal sequences: SYNC_REVIEW (aligned cameras on separate tracks) and DJ_EDIT (the automatic cut).

  • Check preview and report

    A low-resolution MP4 to watch the cut quickly, plus a readable results and warnings report.

    A shared colour-correction point for each camera in the XML, so grading a camera once updates all of its cuts.

  • DJ head and body tracking

    Detects when the DJ is blocked in a shot and switches to a clean angle.

    A clear English app with real progress, camera thumbnails, cancel and reopen.

  • Signed installers

    For Windows 11 (x64) and macOS 15 or later on Apple silicon. Proposed support, confirmed at release.

  • Validated Premiere Pro import

    Importing the XML into Premiere Pro is tested on both Windows and macOS as a launch acceptance test.

What is included in the $129.95 price?

A lifetime license for DJ Multicam Editor, paid once. Every future update and major version of the DJ product is included. There is no subscription and no renewal fee.

Which computers will it run on?

Windows and macOS. The proposed support at launch is Windows 11 (x64) and macOS 15 or later on Apple silicon. The final list is confirmed when the signed installers are released.

Detailed system requirements will be published with the release.

Do I need Adobe Premiere Pro?

Yes, to finish your video. DJ Multicam Editor gives you an editable Premiere Pro XML with two sequences, SYNC_REVIEW and DJ_EDIT, plus a low-resolution check preview and a report. The final edit and render happen in Premiere Pro, which is sold separately by Adobe.

Are my videos uploaded anywhere?

No. Video and audio analysis runs locally on your computer, and your footage and audio are not uploaded. The app connects to the internet for your account, payment and license activation.

What does “lifetime” mean?

You pay once and your DJ Multicam Editor license has no renewal fee. It includes all future updates and major versions of the DJ product that we release. Separate future products, such as Podcast Multicam Editor, are not included. The full terms will be in the License agreement.

Is there a free trial, a refund policy or a device limit?

These terms are not final yet. Whether a free trial is offered, the refund conditions and the device activation terms will be published in the License agreement and Refund policy before sales open, so you can read them before you buy.

What do I need to prepare?

Each camera's clips, a continuous master audio recording of the set, and sound recorded on every camera (it is used for syncing). Make sure your output drive has plenty of free space. See how to prepare your files.

When can I buy?
